Old Fashioned

Old fashioned roses are a group that encompasses any class of rose that existed before 1867. This is when the first modern garden rose, a hybrid tea named ‘La France’, was released. This category can be a little confusing, since newer varieties can fall into this category, as long as they belong to an old class such as Bourbon roses. That said, these varieties are generally over 75 years old.
