Abutilon ‘Golden Fleece’ – Chinese Lantern
The large bell-shaped blooms of ‘Golden Fleece’ are a light golden yellow and really add a lovely brightness to the shaded parts of the garden.
The edible, nectar-rich flowers may appear year-round, with a long main blooming period from spring to autumn. Capsular fruits develop following the flowers.
Abutilons are also known as flowering maples due to their maple-like leaves.
This shrub is fast growing and evergreen, best grown in part shade. Forms a tall upright bush.
