These lovely perennial plants have showy spike blooms of deep blue-purple and are freely produced on tall upright stems to 1.5 meters tall throughout summer and autumn plants die right back to ground level in the winter and require once a year cutting back to the ground. The foliage on these hardy plants is aromatic with fragrance on aniseed and peppermint. Bird attracting and best grown in full sun.
