Prunus armeniaca ‘Moorpark’ – Apricot
Apricot ‘Moorpark’ has medium- to large-sized fruit with orange skin and flesh. This delicious eating fruit has made it a very popular variety for home gardeners. Perfect for fresh fruit, and can also be used for jams, preserves and drying.
Fruit matures in late January to early February (mid- to late-season).
Self pollinating. Can be susceptible to early frosts. Generally drought tolerant.
Tree Care
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
