Prunus armeniaca x salicina ‘Cot-N-Candy’ | Interspecific Apricot
A recent introduction to Australia, ‘Cot N Candy’ is a next generation hybrid fruit, namely a cross between an apricot and a plum.
Fruit is yellow-orange, with a subtle red blush on sun exposed skin. Flesh is firm and juicy, with very pale lemon, almost white colouration. Has a sensational sweet apricot flavour with a slight plum aftertaste, a good balance of the two types of fruit.
Self-fertile, so no need for a pollinator.
Open vase habit.
Full sun.
