Buddleja alternifolia

Buddlejas or butterfly bushes are a beautiful plant to add to any garden with many to chose from.
This spectacular showy species Buddleja forms a large deciduous shrub growing up to 4 meters high or grown on a support to 6 meters with a pendulous tumbling weeping habit of fine silvery green foliage and soft mauve blue flowers in summer up to 1 meter along the ends of the old wood. Named in 1880 it is naturalized in Tibet and China found growing along riverbanks. Prune after flowering as this plant flowers on older stems for a better display the next year.
