Paeonia ‘Lemon Chiffon’ – Herbaceous Peony
‘Lemon Chiffon’ is an outstanding and very popular cut flower variety of peony.
Blooms early in the season, with large, full, semi-double to double yellow blooms. Flowers are produced on strong, thick stems that grow 60-90cm tall and carry many side buds per stem.
This variety is greatly sought after for the breeding of new yellow varieties of peony.
‘Lemon Chiffon’ was bred by David Reath in 1981, and won the American Peony Society’s Grand Champion award in 2000.
