Hydrangea macrophylla ‘SchrollA02’ Deep Purple – Mophead Hydrangea
This is a truly beautiful purple hydrangea, with an extended display of large mophead flowers that stand proudly above its foliage from spring until autumn.
A stellar plant in the garden, perfect for creating an impactful border or boosting the colour in shadier areas. ‘Deep Purple’ is also compact enough to grow in containers and looks great in decorative pots.
Hydrangea ‘Deep Purple’ is a strongly branching and vigorous grower that remains compact. The best purple colouration is maintained in an acidic soil with pH level below 5.5. In more alkaline soils this variety will become red.
Part-sun. Tolerates more sun than an average Hydrangea macrophylla.
