Syringa vulgaris ‘Charles Joly’ – Lilac
Lilac ‘Charles Joly’ is a fast growing deciduous tree or shrub. Highly fragrant blooms appear in mid-spring, with upright clusters of deep reddish-purple double flowers. Curling petals show the paler mauve reverse.
Green heart shaped leaves.
Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertiliser in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.
Plant in full sun.

Tree Care
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
