Malus x domestica ‘Criknzam’ Crimson Knight™ – Crab Apple
Crimson Knight™ is an excellent choice for medium sized gardens, featuring a lovely spring display of large, single, deep red flowers. New leaves emerge during spring with an attractive purple-bronze tone, mature to a deep green in summer, and turn to shades of golden yellow and orange during autumn. Young bark can be dark maroon, adding further interest. Very little fruit.
A fast growing and hardy tree, very easy to grow. Flowering and colouration are best in full sun, but Crimson Knight™ is also quite happy with part sun.
