(AUSEASEL) Vanessa Bell is a new rose from David Austin, released to the Australian market in 2022. It produces huge displays of medium-sized semi-double cups all summer long, held in large clusters. Pink-tinged buds open to reveal pale lemon blooms, fading slowly to cream at the edges, each with an eye of pink and gold stamens.
This variety forms a bushy, upright shrub with healthy, mid-green, semi-gloss foliage.
David Austin have named this rose to honour Vanessa Bell, who was an English artist, designer, member of the Bloomsbury Group, and sister of the writer Virginia Woolf. You can read more about her here.
The medium-strong Tea fragrance is reminiscent of green tea, with notes of lemon and honey.
